"You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you."

I chose this verse for the girls. After Evie's diagnosis, I was so worried not only about how she would manage day-to-day life but also how others would treat her because of her differences. Before her surgery, she would tilt her head to one side, and her eye would also travel up at times, and I was so nervous that when she started school, she would be made fun of. Before her surgery, her Physical Therapist came to the house, and I was talking to her about how sad I was and how I just wanted her eye to be perfect. She told me that Jesus did make her perfect, and just because her eye wasn't the same as everyone else's doesn't mean that he didn't create her perfectly in her image. She was right. God doesn't make mistakes, and Evie has always been perfect. I prayed and let the outcome be in God's hands. It was all up to him what would happen after surgery. I hope that every girl knows how beautiful they are and how they were made in the perfect image of God. We shouldn't compare ourselves because God made us perfectly who we are.
